In the first nine months of the CY 2023, the luxury carmaker delivered 8,998 BMW cars, 582 units of MINI (a total of 9,580 cars) and 6,778 BMW Motorrad motorcycles.
The company had previously announced that the iX1 would be offered in India as a completely built unit (CBU), but precise sales figures for the launch day remain undisclosed. The BMW iX1 made its Indian debut with a price tag of INR 66.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Locally produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai, this limited edition is exclusively available at the BMW Online shop, the company said.
Offered as a Completely Built-Up unit (CBU), only 20 units are available and can be booked exclusively on Mini online shop.
BMW India sold 5,867 units in the six months to June 30, which is an increase of 5% over the same period last year. The company's EV sales in this period went up 11X. Top-end vehicles like the 7 series, i7, X7, XM too saw saw strong traction, with volumes going up by 128% in the first half of the year.
The Group claims to have posted its best-ever half-year, quarter and month in June 2023 for all the three brands-BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad.
